Earlier this month, Women United members organized a volunteer team for the 2026 United Way of Greater Charlottesville Day of Caring! Our volunteer team had an amazing time volunteering at Stepping Stone, who is actually a recipient of one of our 2026 grants! Stepping Stone supporting babies and toddlers from under-resourced families by providing diapers, clothing, and other essential items to parents and caregivers in need.

Through this Day of Caring project, the Women United volunteer team helped packed more than 50 boxes of Care Supply Kits that will be distributed to families across Nelson, Buckingham, Louisa, and Fluvanna Counties. While there, the volunteer team toured their Charlottesville-area warehouse, learned more about how they process and organize supplies to help families.
Thank you to all the Women United members and friends who joined us to volunteer at the Day of Caring! Interested in volunteering with Women United in the future?
