We will announce and celebrate all the Caring for Community Awards recipients at this year’s Day of Caring Kickoff Breakfast. This event is taking place at John Paul Jones arena at 8am on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 and is open to the public! Join us for the awards program and the official kickoff to Day of Caring–the most impactful day of service in our region–with free breakfast, live music, and good vibes!

The Caring for Community Awards are meant to recognize and celebrate exceptional community service, support, and work being done by individuals and organizations in the Greater Charlottesville area! We shine a light on those in our community who do the work, day in and day out, in the following award categories:
