What is Day of Caring?

The United Way Day of Caring, presented this year by Sentara and the University of Virginia, is one of the largest volunteer service events in our region. Each year, thousands of volunteers from local businesses and organizations come together to complete meaningful projects that benefit nonprofits, schools, Childcare centers, and faith-based groups. It’s a powerful opportunity to receive support with projects you may not have the time, staff, or resources to complete on your own while also building lasting relationships with community volunteers.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need support. We’re here to help and look forward to partnering with you!
