FREE prescriptions for eligible patients with chronic illnesses.
Our prescription relief programs have moved to the free clinic.
PRESCRIPTION RELIEF
Through support from the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF) Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, and the Charlottesville Free Clinic, this program provides free medications for low income, uninsured persons with long term, chronic illnesses including high blood pressure, mental health concerns, high cholesterol, COPD, diabetes, and more. For more information, click here.
In the Charlottesville region, over 16,000 people are estimated to be uninsured. Prescription Assistance Programs (PAPs), provided nationally by most drug companies, offer free medications to low income, uninsured persons with long term, chronic conditions requiring medications. However, applying for these programs is often very confusing. Through support from the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF) and Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital the United Way has established the RxRelief Program.
Eligibility Requirements include low to moderate income and no prescription drug coverage. Some exclusions apply for insured persons with very high deductibles.
EYEGLASSES
