About Santa Fund
Donations to Santa Fund, while primarily raised during the holiday season, help elementary, middle, and high schoolers all year round. The Santa Fund, in partnership with The Daily Progress and WINA AM 1070, is coordinated by school representatives in the City of Charlottesville and Counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange, who help identify children with needs essential for succeeding at school.

How It Works
Santa Fund enables teachers, guidance counselors, and other school officials to provide vouchers to families, which can be used for item(s) they may need, such as a coat that fits properly, books for class, or glasses to see the whiteboard. The child’s family redeems the vouchers at local partner vendors, including Kid-to-Kid, Marshalls, Roses, Shoe Show Inc, and TJMaxx.
Make a Request
Parents are also able to make requests to schools themselves. Simply connect with your child’s teacher, guidance counselor, principal, or other school official to request specific items your student needs to succeed in school. You may be asked to provide more information.
Help empower local students in need to learn and thrive at school!
Your gift provides essentials like clothing, shoes, medicine, eyeglasses, school supplies, and books for low-income students in our community. You also get the chance to honor or remember someone when you support the Santa Fund.
