Mixed Delivery
United Way of Greater Charlottesville is partnering with the Virginia Department of Education, the Virginia Early Education Foundation, the City and County school systems and local learning centers to offer free preschool spots for qualifying three and four-year-old children in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area!
Participating learning centers include:
- Barrett Early Learning Center
- Foundations Child Development Center
- JABA Shining Star Preschool
- YMCA Early Learning Center
In order to qualify a child must have turned three or four years old by September 30th of the school year and live in a family with risk factors such as low income. Children are able to participate in Mixed Delivery and be in the center for the entire day (for example, 7am-5:30pm) and through the summer.
