A Celebration of Community
The Caring for Community Awards are meant to recognize and celebrate exceptional community service, support, and work being done by individuals and organizations in the Greater Charlottesville area! It is an annual, joyous a celebration of community where individuals and organizations come together to uplift and show appreciation for one another. Help us shine a light on those in our community who do the work, day in and day out, by nominating them! You can make a nomination for any or all of the following award categories:
- Above and Beyond Community Advocate
- Above and Beyond Voice for Community Collaboration
- Above and Beyond Voice for Early Education
- Above and Beyond Voice for Financial Empowerment
- Above and Beyond Health Care Provider
- Above and Beyond Nonprofit
- Above and Beyond Business
- Above and Beyond Employee
- Above and Beyond Faith-based Community or Group
Nominations close on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 5pm.
All nominees that move into the voting round will be notified of their nomination prior to voting. People and organizations may be nominated in multiple categories. Self-nominations are permitted. Nominees should live or work in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Greene, Nelson or Orange.
Come Back in August to Cast Your Vote
Voting will take place from Wednesday, August 6, 2025 to Friday August 29, 2025 at midnight. We will announce and celebrate all the Caring for Community Awards recipients at this year’s Day of Caring Kickoff Breakfast on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. More details on that event to come!
