United Way has transitioned away from emergency funding for those impacted by Covid-19 and now seeks to support community members experiencing economic impact resulting from the pandemic. In the Charlottesville and surrounding area, this outbreak has disproportionately affected communities of color and amplified the problems that many in our community face. Funds from the COVID Recovery and Resiliency Fund are distributed to qualifying individuals, families and small businesses identified through our Financial Stability and School Readiness impact programs to meet immediate needs in achieving long term financial recovering. We continue our mission of connecting our community, enabling individuals and families to achieve their potential and the work defined within our impact areas to create an equitable community where every person thrives.
