Santa Fund for Schoolkids is an annual, collaborative effort in partnership with The Daily Progress and Newsradio WINA 1070 AM/98.9 FM, which is now in its 130th year! We aim to raise funds for local students who need essential items like clothing, shoes, medicine, eyeglasses, virtual learning tools, school supplies, and books.
Last year, we raised just under $200,000, so this year our goal is to raise $225,000!
Donations to Santa Fund help school kids in need all year round. Teachers, guidance counselors, and school officials who notice a student in need, whether it’s wearing a coat that doesn’t fit or squinting to see the chalkboard without glasses, are able to provide vouchers to redeem at local partner vendors including Kid-to-Kid, Marshalls, Roses, Shoe Show Inc, and TJMaxx. Parents are also able to make requests to schools themselves.
