This Moms First documentary follows activist Reshma Saujani as she uncovers why labels like “girl boss” and “trad wife” distract from the real issue: the lack of structural support for moms and families. The film digs into how we got here and why this moment presents a real opportunity to demand something better.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Jenny Lynn Walding, Founder of Milkmade, Doreen Bonnet, Executive Director of Birth Sisters of Charlottesville, Rebecca Berlin, Member of the Albemarle County School Board, and local stay-at-home mom Kristin Longhauser Smith. It will be moderated by Angilee Shah, CEO & Editor in Chief of Charlottesville Tomorrow.
